He has won numerous scientific prizes including the CNRS Gold Medal and the Grand Prix of the Foundation of Medical Reseach.<br> <br> Professor Steve Brown is Director of the Mammalian Genetics Unit of the MRC in Harwell, UK, and is a member of EMBO. <br>
